The Caucus on U.S. Turkish Relations and Turkish Americans (a.k.a. Turkish Caucus) was formed in 2000 by Congressmen Robert Wexler (D-FL), Ed Whitfield (R-KY) and Kay Granger (R-TX), its founding co-chairmen. Since then, the Turkish Caucus has grown to over 105 members (as of March 2010).

The Turkish Caucus has played an important role in increasing the understanding of the Congress on Turkish-American issues, on Republic of Turkey, on PKK terrorism, on the Caspian energy and geopolitics of the Greater Middle East, in further developing the strategic relations between the United States and Turkey, increasing trade, security and military cooperation between the two nations, better grasp issues surrounding the illegal Armenian military occupation of Azerbaijani lands such as the Nagorno-Karabakh (NK) region and around it, Armenian blockade against Nakhichevan region of Azerbaijan, the Armenian claims of genocide, and in energizing the Turkish-American voters.

Please ask your Member of Congress (House Representative) to join the Caucus on U.S. Turkish Relations and Turkish Americans (Turkish Caucus) and become more active in issues important to the Turkish-American voters.
